National Strategies for Zero-Carbon Urban Mobility

  • Project Duration: 05/2017 - 09/2017

How selected OECD states are using national policy to drive the decarbonisation of urban mobility.

The transformation of urban mobility is essential for ambitious climate action. Yet urban mobility cannot be remade without the close coordination of transport and climate policy as well as cooperation at the state and local levels. This project examines the strategies used by selected OECD countries to achieve their climate targets in urban mobility. On the basis of its findings, it formulates specific recommendations for how Germany can effectively promote sustainable urban transport.
