With the spread of the digital transformation to the transport sector, networked and automated driving technologies and a widening array of collaborative mobility services have been key sources of change in urban transport. This project investigates strategies for integrating public and private transportation with citywide fleets of driverless car- and ridesharing vehicles. Such systems might lead people to reconsider car ownership while also helping to generate broad social acceptance for collaborative mobility, thereby reducing driving distances and emissions while freeing up space and improving the quality of urban life.
