Vanchhit Johri joined Agora Verkehrswende in October 2021 as a German Chancellor Fellow of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. With a deep interest in the transportation decarbonization in India, he is shadowing the Agora team to research on the vehicles charging infrastructure in the European Union.
He is passionate about sustainable transport, green finance, and climate risk. Before moving to Germany, Vanchhit Johri was working for the electrification of the delivery fleet in India since 2019. He has also worked in the Indian electric micro-mobility industry in the partnerships and finance roles. He began his career in 2012 with the Ministry of Railways of the Government of India.
Vanchhit Johri studied engineering and rail transportation, earning a B.E. from Birla Institute of Technology, and later an MBA from the Indian School of Business.
