Fritz Holz worked for 27 years as an editor for the German newspaper Die Zeit before joining Agora Verkehrswende in the summer of 2016. Vorholz studied macroeconomics in Cologne; during his studies, he also attended a local journalism school. He subsequently worked for the University of Cologne's Institute for Public Economics (FiFo) and for the German Advisory Council on the Environment (SRU). He was awarded his PhD for research in environmental economics.
