The Finanzwissenschaftliche Forschungsinstitut an der Universität zu Köln (FiFo Köln) works in the field of independent economic research and policy advice. The activities of Germany's third oldest economic research institute (founded in 1927) are based on its own long-term research programs. The aim of the institute's work is to facilitate better policy-making.
