The successful integration of electric vehicles into the power system offers opportunities not only for the energy industry, but also for a fast and customer-friendly ramp-up of electromobility. If vehicles are charged primarily when a lot of wind and photovoltaic power as well as free power grid capacities are available, more renewable energy can be used and the grid can be better utilized. At the same time, aspects like favorable charging prices or the flexibility to charge the car according to one's own time needs increase the attractiveness of electric vehicles.
Although energy-related framework conditions are crucial for the success of electromobility, the transport sector often still lacks the necessary knowledge to become involved in the political discussion.
In this project, we investigate how legislators and companies from the energy sector can support the ramp-up of electromobility by providing the appropriate framework conditions - while at the same time exploiting the potential of electric vehicles for the power system. The results will be presented in the form of a thesis paper. Project partners are Consentec and Ellery Studio.
