Benjamin  Fischer

Benjamin Fischer joined Agora Verkehrswende in January 2021. He is responsible for projects in transport economics, particularly those concerned with the distributional effects of transport policy instruments and the socially equitable design of taxes and levies in the transport sector.

From 2017 to 2021, Benjamin was a research associate at the chair of empirical economics at Freie Universität Berlin. The focus of his work there was on the simulation of distributional and employment effects of reforms of the German tax and transfer system. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Economics from Freie Universität Berlin.
